Q. I am having a problem when frying steaks, I like them medium to well done, so I heat the pan really well then I sear them each side on the boiling plate and then transfer them to the floor of the roasting oven, but they nearly always come out like I'm stewing them there is so much juice in the pan and end up being quite tough. I can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Any help?

Q. Can I put a roasting tin directly on the floor of the roasting oven in my Six-Four?  On one section of your web site (FAQs) it told me I could fit a 19-21 lb turkey in my Six-Four.  There is no way  unless you can put the roasting tin on the floor of the oven.  Then I saw in one of your replies that at most a 16 lb bird will fit.  Mine is a tight squeeze at 16 1/2 lbs, but I was going with the FAQ size recommendations. Might want to fix that on the web site!  Anyway - can you roast on the floor of the oven?
Thank you!

Q. I have a 2 oven aga and I am having trouble making bread. My problem is that the bread seems to rise unevenly i.e when I place the 2lb loaf tin into the centre of the oven with the grid shelf on the floor the bread rises more on the left as you look into the aga than the right. What am I doing wrong and how can I achive an even rise. Regards Andrew ~Andrew  Read More

Q. I was told there is no bakeware or pans for the 6-4. I cannot find the right size and i am worried about the holiday season. so far if nothing fits so it is useless. also i want a 6-4 cookbook, but i was told all the cookbooks are just for the original aga. additionally everything burns. ie cookies, any hints. i thought the right pans might help. maybe we are using the wrong oven? I want to cook a 20# turkey, but without a pan and cookbook, my family is not having thanksgiving. karen ~karen  Read More

Q. Hi, have been getting myself into a bit of a tiz concerning cooking for the children. I have 2 of my own and I look after my 2 nephews, ages range from age 2 to age 9. My problem is trying to have something ready for them to all sit down to eat at 5pm which I find hard when out doing 2 school runs as well as fitting in the after school activities. Would very much like to use the simmering oven a lot more, like a slow cooker, and have lovely homemade favourities cooking all day without me worring. Can you suggest any simple favourite receipes that I can prepare the night before and put in the simmering oven in the morning. Please can you help get me out of this stressful pickle. PS I have a converted 2 oven. Thank You. Lisa. ~lisa  Read More
